Burke Award
The Burke Award was established to honor the memory of Dr. Jack Denning Burke, Professor of Anatomy in the Department of Anatomy from 1964 to 1978, a truly great teacher and scientist, and author of a textbook in the field of cell biology. The Burke Award is made to a graduate student who has shown excellence in cell biology research.
The awardee is given an award letter and check, and has his/her name inscribed on the plaque displayed in the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology.
